In the village of Kabbila, in southern Zambia, there is a small primary school that plays an essential role in the lives of local children. But the school buildings are in poor condition, the toilets are unhygienic, and there is no access to clean water. The nearest water source is more than two kilometers away, and every day pupils and villagers have to walk that distance to collect it.

Together with the local community, we are changing that. We are going to renovate the existing classrooms, building a new school block with four additional classrooms and proper sanitation facilities, and repairing the water pump so that clean water is once again available. Not only for the school, but also for nearby households.
