We are happy to have partnered with Wilde Ganzen to start construction of the new clinic in 2022. We are working with the local government, which is helping us furnish the clinic and provide additional staff. As a result, there is a need for houses.
Kamimbi is a remote rural area with poor roads. Especially during the rainy season, the roads are impassable, so it can take hours to travel a short distance. To provide adequate care, houses are essential.
The local government has provided land to build the clinic, staff houses and the obstetrics department together. This means that the staff houses will be built near the clinic, allowing for 24-hour care. The construction of the staff houses started simultaneously with the construction of the clinic, and we aim to complete it by 2023.
Yalelo, the tilapia farm located in the same area, has asked the Liberi Foundation to accompany this project. Most of the funding for this project comes from FMO, the Dutch World Bank.
